5 Ways to Use Alum Stone

Alum stone can be used in several different ways, the antiperspirant action being the best known. However, there are other popular applications, which include:

1. Decrease Perspiration

This is the main use of this type of stone, since potassium alum contracts the pores of the skin, regulating the amount of sweat that is released during the day. In addition to this, it leaves a thin and transparent layer on the skin that removes the bacteria from the place, reducing the smell of sweat.

How to use: wet the stone and pass it in the region or, then, buy the dust from the stone and apply on the site. The stone can be used to decrease sweat on any part of the body, especially in the armpits, feet and back.

Alum stone crystals are similar to coarse salt, they can be used to exfoliate the skin during bathing. In this way, the red stretch marks are easily attenuated since a moisturizer is applied after exfoliation. Already in the case of white stretch marks, alum stone helps reduce its relief.

How to use: during the bath, a little liquid soap should be placed in the place where the stretch marks are located and then a handful of alum stone salts should be rubbed on the skin, using circular movements. After bathing, a good moisturizer should be applied to exfoliated skin. This exfoliation should be done 2 to 3 times per week.

3. Cure Canker Sores

Alum stone has excellent antibacterial and healing properties that help eliminate the bacteria that are causing canker sores, in addition to accelerating healing. So the duration of the canker sore can be reduced and, in some cases, it can disappear in just 24 hours.

How to use: apply the powder or spray of alum stone directly on the canker sore. This technique can cause a very intense burn in the place, so you can also dilute 2 tablespoons of powder in a cup of water, then gargle or mouthwash.

4. Remove Pimples

Due to its antiseptic properties, alum stone effectively eliminates bacteria, promoting proper skin cleansing. In addition to this, as the tonicity of the skin increases, it reduces the pores, hindering the appearance of new pimples.

How to use: mix the alum stone powder with 2 egg whites and apply on the face for 20 minutes. Then you should wash with warm water and moisturize the skin with a specific skin cream with acne.

5. Heal Small Wounds
