How to Remove a Buried Grain and What Care to Take

The most important thing to do when it comes to an internal grain is to avoid squeezing it, since in addition to not being able to extract the pus, the act of pressing the skin can cause dark spots or scars to arise, which may take even longer to disappear .

Therefore there are some homemade techniques that can be applied to remove the internal grain more quickly or prevent it from coming out, this could be done with an envelope of black tea, with the placement of ice on the shin or by applying a warm compress or steam on the face or in the region where the shin is.

1. Place a Black Tea Bag

A good technique that can be applied to treat and eliminate internal grain faster is to place a black tea bag on the affected region, since it contains properties that help fight acne and decrease the oiliness of the skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 black tea bag;
  • 100 mL of water

Preparation Mode

Place the water in a pot with the envelope of black tea and let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes. When this warm place the tea envelope on the affected region, keeping it for about 30 minutes.

2. Apply Ice Over the Region

This technique is excellent in case you feel that you are developing a buried grain, so it is recommended to start the treatment as soon as the first signs and symptoms such as pain, redness and swelling of the skin arise. For this, a cold compress or an ice wrapped in a cloth should be applied over the region for 5 minutes, after this time the compress should be removed and the skin allowed to rest for 10 minutes. Repeat the process for at least 1 hour per day until the pimple disappears.

3. Apply a Warm Compress or Steam

In cases where it is not possible to treat the internal grain with these techniques, it is best to try to get the head of the pimple out of the skin, applying a warm compress on the region for a few minutes. Another option is to take a hot bath, since the steam will favor the opening of the pores, allowing the grain to leave.

In the case of the warm compress, the procedure should be repeated several times a day until the white part of the pimple is visible, thus helping to eliminate the pus.

4. Place a Burdock Tea Compress

Burdock tea has excellent anti-inflammatory properties, so it is excellent for relieving pain and deflating the region where the pimple is.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons dried or fresh burdock root;
  • 500 mL of water;
  • Gauze or a clean cloth.

Preparation Mode

 Place the water and teaspoons of burdock in a pot, let it boil for 10 minutes. Strain and let the tea stand for 5 minutes. When it is warm, you should dip a sterile gauze or a clean cloth in the tea and place it on the affected region for 20 minutes, 2 times a day.

However, in case the pain does not improve or is maintained for more than 1 week, it is recommended to go to a dermatologist to indicate the most appropriate treatment, since in some cases it may be necessary to prescribe medications such as Isotretinoin, for example, to treat pimples.

Care During the Treatment of an Internal Grain

Some care you should follow to prevent the internal grain from getting worse or that can be applied to complement the treatment are:

  • Avoid pressing the  internal pimple as it can worsen the inflammation, increasing the pain and discomfort it causes;
  • Wash the affected region with antiseptic soap such as Dioxogen Med, Cetaphil or Protex, at least 3 times a day;
  • Apply a moisturizer with sun protection factor before leaving the house;
  • Place an acne cream such  as Differin, Adaferin or Benzac before bedtime, indicated by the dermatologist preferably;
  • Avoid the use of makeup  and other cosmetic products on the affected region.

In addition to these cares, a diet low in sugars and fats should be performed, since they increase the irritation of the sebaceous glands that are responsible for producing acne.

All these recommendations can be used to treat grains buried in the face, ear, groin, back or any other part of the body.
