What to Eat in the Hyperproteic Diet




The hyperprotein diet is based on the consumption of foods that are good sources of protein such as meat and eggs, excluding carbohydrate-rich foods such as bread and pasta. Foods Prohibited in the Hyperprotein Diet

Foods prohibited during the protein diet are sources of carbohydrates such as:


  • Bread, pasta, rice, flour, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cassava;
  • Beans, chickpea, corn, peas, soybeans;
  • Sugar, cookies, candy, cakes, soda, juice;
  • Fruit and coconut water.


It is important not to consume these foods during the protein diet to avoid changes in metabolism that cause the body to stop using protein and fat as an energy source.

What to Know Before Starting the Hyperprotein Diet

Before starting any diet, it is important the guidance of a doctor or a nutritionist so as not to harm the health. The nutritionist can indicate another more personalized menu, taking into account personal tastes and possible food restrictions.

The dietary care of the protein is mainly so that this type of diet does not impair the functioning of the kidneys. So the ideal is that this diet is made for a maximum of 1 month and with guidance from the nutritionist, so that kidney problems, hair loss, dizziness and fainting do not occur.
